Alonso Leads Opening Session

MONACO - Ferrari showed a positive signal ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix series, Sunday (05/27/2012). At the inaugural session, Fernando Alonso emerged as the fastest.


In the first free practice session that was held on Thursday (5/24/2012), Alonso immediately showed his strength with the fastest time. The Spaniard recorded a time of 1 minute 16.265 seconds.

Lotus Renault driver surprise indicated, Roman Grosjaen is capable of being the fastest rider, followed by Mexico of the Sauber team driver, Sergio Perez.

McLaren Mercedes driver, Lewis Hamilton is only able to record the fourth best time to 1:16,747 seconds. The times are far ahead of colleagues setimnyam Hamilton Jenson Button who ranks only eighth.

Defending champion team rider, Red Bull Racing, Sebastian Vettel also appears less than the maximum in this first session. Vettel is only able to be in the order of nine.

Button Want to Conquer Monte Carlo

Woking - Jenson Button has a covert mission in the Grand Prix of Monaco. Button wants to conquer the Monte Carlo Circuit, as well as complete dominance of McLaren.


Since work started the competition Formula One (F1) with a victory in Australia, Button did not look stable. The McLaren driver was only collected 20 points from four races last.

These results, making the Button occupy the top six drivers' standings with eight points behind Lewis Hamilton, who has never won in F1 this season.

Staring at the Monaco race, both drivers tried to divert the preparation to restore McLaren luck and try to win the toughest race in the world today.

Claiming Lotus Not Satisfied

Enstone - Lotus is in the best performance. However, the team principal Eric Boullier insists his team will stop at nothing to improve team performance.


Consistent appearance was a surprise shown by Lotus. Kimi Raikkonen and Romain Grosjean still appear consistently in Formula One (F1) in Spain and Bahrain.

With performances from Raikkonen and Grosjean, the Lotus is now in third place with a score constructors' standings, 84 points. They were 21 points ahead of Ferrari in fourth.

Speaking before the series of six races in Monaco, Boullier does have plans to fix the target in the constructors' championship. Initially, Lotus is targeting a fourth place finish. However, Boullier aware of the competition is still long.
